The Bell 407

Since the 2001 winter season, HMH has been using the Bell 407 for our operations. The 407 was designed to strike an ideal balance between performance and reliability. It features a sleek design, advanced technologies, outstanding performance and a smooth, quiet ride.

This new model is wider, longer, more powerful and considerably faster (147 mph) than its predecessor, the Long Ranger. The generously oversized, rounded windows offer outstanding visibility and its wide body cabin will comfortably seat 5 for heli-skiing. Of course that means we are now skiing in groups of 5 guests to 1 guide.

The enhanced performance comes from the new Allison 250-C47 turbine engine that features Full Authority Digital Engine Control (FADEC) for state-of-the-art power management. This combined with its new four-bladed main rotor further enhances performance and provides the smooth, quiet ride. Get ready for the ultimate ride to “the goods” in 2007.
